Argentina, officially known as the Republic of Argentina (Spanish: República Argentina), is a country in South America, bordered by Chile to the west and south, Bolivia and Paraguay to the north, Brazil and Uruguay from the north-east. Argentina claims sovereignty over Antarctica and the Falkland Islands (Spanish: Malvinas), South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands. Argentina is a federation of 23 provinces and the city of Buenos Aires is the capital and largest city in the country. Argentina is the eighth largest country in the world in terms of area, and the largest among Spanish-speaking countries. Argentina is a founding member of the United Nations, and a member of both: Mercosur, the Union of South American Nations, the Organization of Ibero-American States, the World Bank Group and the World Trade Organization, and is one of the G-15 and G-20 of the largest economies. Argentina strength regionally recognized [10] [11] [12] [13] [14] [15] and the strength of the medial [16], and is the third largest economy in Latin America [17], with a rating very high in the Human Development Index [18 ]. Argentina occupies the fifth place in nominal GDP per capita at the level of countries of Latin America and the highest in purchasing power [19]. Analysts point out [20] that the country has a strong foundation for future growth due to its market size, levels of foreign direct investment, percentage of high-tech exports and its share of the total output of manufactured goods, which are classified by investors as one of the emerging economies of Central.
